I've often been asked by my subscribers & trading associate/clients which moving avg 's I use in my analysis & trading techniques & the answer is the 40 day simple ,the 21 day simple & the 10 day simple. After nearly 40 years of trading ,trial & error,I have found that the 40 day more closely aligns with price on the daily charts than the 50 day ,which is the more commomly used & accepted moving avg by many traders. The 20 or 21 also is very good for short term traders ( with the 10 day ma being useful for very short term traders) I am 100% convinced that using these time periods will enhance your ability to pick KEY support & resistance levels ,as well as important tops & bottoms

Can you give examples of when you pull the trigger to make the trade. Or is it used in conjunction with other indicators, such as the Fibs to trade the trend?

Its ok with me.
While Im here, I might as well ask another question,
Whats sell/buy long/short?
Ive been reading this term everywhere, and I havent found an answer yet for it. Does it have to do with duration of trading?
