Hello Neal,

I recently got your TRSI and started incorporating it into my trading methodology. I still do use MACD and Stochastics.

I am currently looking at a stock called KOG. The stock blasted up on a high volume, turning a downtrended MACD (daily) to an uptrend. Although the weekly trend has already been up even prior to the move but the daily had turned into a downtrend which scared me out of the stock. I knew the stock had the potential to go up but that downtrend on Daily made me sell too early. Is there anyway I could have avoided it???? By the way TRSI trend is still down on Daily after the surge up whereas MACD show up on Daily now.

Also I currently see all the trends on different time frames being up (Weekly, Daily, 240, 60, 10, 5) except for 30 min which just turned down. The stock is definitely overbought using a detrended oscillator (I know you do not use it) but thought it would be worth mentioning it. How would you look at this?? I see a potential bullishness short term but the overbought situation is a concern to me.

Please let me know your input.

My TRSI crossed up on Sept 3rd before the surge, when KOG was only $1.30
see attached.

If yours didn't cross up, there is someting wrong with your formula. Post a daily chart of KOG, let's look at it.

I see that..and I have the same..please see attached..

What I am comparing is MACD and TR.......Stochastic and SI..

Stochastic and SI both did give a buy signal but my understanding is that MACD and the TR shows the actual trend in which we fade in the stochastic and the SI.

I may be using the TRSI wrong. Please clarify.

Thanks for your prompt reply...

Yes! Definitely using both the MACD and TRSI wrong.

(The weekly MACD I'm guessing, have not checked) Weekly TRSI is definitely up. Buy dips in daily..
