I like BG for a long-term bullish chart, look at that trend!
It needs to remain above $110 to be bullish, below that the odds start to change for the downside.

Do you have a position in that company? Options maybe?

I really hate the homework that comes when i use options. Are there any hard fast rules about using options? how far out should i buy them?

I use options as my primary income. If you are trading directionally IE buy a call or a put and wait for the stock to go up or down I would go out at least 90 days. The farther the better as far as I am concerned. If your projections are accurate you can either sell the options down the road for a nice profit or pick up the stock in the future for a better future price.

I have done short term options (monthly) and they can be very interesting. And if you are wrong very expensive.

Hi CJD, do you trade options directionally, or you use other strategies mostly?

I prefer directional trades at least I do when I am very confident about the direction of the trade. But I do have a few call calendar trades on the go at this moment. I also like covered calls...........Chris
