"Mark to market" - outstanding positions

Hi Ryan,

Should you use the "mark to market" procedure for any outstanding positions at the end of the calendar year or are they reported when you have closed the position (probably the following year)?

Hi Laurie,

Assuming you made the M2M election before the deadline all positions held after year end would be considered closed, at market value on December 31st. The positions would then be considered reopened at market value at the beginning of the year.
